A MASS African singing event will see children from across the city take to the stage
The event, organised by Southampton Music Services, will involve 800 children from key stages one to five singing together. The event will be led by Rosie Bergonzi, a London based singer and percussionist who was in the city just last year as part of Chineke Orchestra's visit to the city.
As reported Europe's first professional majority black and minority ethnic orchestra came to Southampton to work with school children in the city.
Youngsters from Bevois Town Primary St John’s Primary and Shirley Warren Primary learned a commissioned arrangement of a classical symphony.
The African singing event takes place at Central Hall on June 28 from 1.30
