RALLYING teenagers together for their prom can be a military mission in itself.

This year students across Hampshire are finding even bigger, quirky modes of transport for their big entrance.

So when a 16-year-old student from Hamble Community Sports College rolled up to his school prom in an armoured vehicle, there were smiles all round.

The student enlisted the help of an army tank driver to drive him and a group of friends into Steeple Court Manor in Botley and drove up with some of them hidden in the cockpit and one waving out the top with a Union Jack flag.

Friends and family applauded as the tank drove up to the manor and then cheered as each student was helped out the top of the vehicle to pose next to their special prom transport - and when they were finished a few onlookers took some selfies with the vehicle too.
