Residents and councillors have held a protest in a bid to save their bank from closure.
Around 30 people gathered with a 'save our bank' banner outside the Barclays branch in Hamble High Street this morning.
They chanted "save our bank" which was endorsed by hoots from some passing motorists.
Barclays has confirmed its intention to close the bank, the last on the Hamble peninsula, in November due to low footfall.
Businesses and residents will face travelling to the next branch in Hedge End five miles away and fear elderly residents in particular will suffer.
