A PRIME retail unit in the heart Eastleigh has been snapped up by a charity.
Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated a deal for 52 Market Street.
New tenant is the Sailors’ Society which has taken on a new ten-year lease at the town centre property, formerly occupied by Cash Converters.
The Southampton-based charity, founded in 1818, has taken this outlet to open a Sailors’ Shop as part of expansion plans to add to its retail offering.
The town centre property occupies a busy trading position fronting the middle section of Eastleigh’s busy Market Street and is close to other multiple traders.
Leading retailers trading close by include Celly’s Hairdressers, Santander, Peacocks, Burton Menswear, Oswald Bailey, Costa Coffee and Vision Express.
The property comprises a ground floor retail unit with a net sales area of 1,104 sq ft (102.56 sq m), a full-width glazed frontage and an open plan sales area with a partitioned staff kitchen and separate WC.
To the rear is an external yard providing car parking for up to two cars, with vehicular access via Mitchell Road.
