POLICE have renewed an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a missing Hampshire man.

Friends and family of Kieran Smith have been searching woodland around the Fareham area to try to find him.

Mr Smith, 24, was last seen at home in Harcourt Road, Fareham, on Tuesday at midday.

His mother Linda Payne, step-dad Howard Payne and brothers Harrison Payne and Kiohl Smith have launched an appeal for him to get in touch as they are concerned over his mental health.

Kiohl, 27, of Gosport, said his brother had “never done anything like this before” and that friends and family have been putting up posters and asking shops to look out for him.

A Facebook group – Help Find Kieran Smith – has also been set up while people have searched woodland areas including Oxley’s Coppice, the Gillies and Fort Fareham to see if he had been sleeping rough.

Kieran, a labourer, is described as white, about 5ft 6in, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue woollen hoodie, a blue T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white baseball boots.

A police spokesman said: "We are continuing to appeal for help to trace a missing Fareham man. Please keep sharing this post.

"His family are very concerned and are asking for Kieran to get in touch."

Anyone with information should call Hampshire Police on 101.
