THE family of a missing Hampshire man has issued a further emotional plea for him to come home as police step up their efforts to find him.
It has been more than a week since Kieran Smith went missing and officers are following up a number of enquiries and carrying out an extensive search.
Police efforts include searching, assisted by air support, in fields and woodlands close to Titchfield.
The 24-year-old was last seen by his family at home in Harcourt Road, Fareham, at midday last Tuesday.
His family continue to urge him to make contact so they know he is okay.
In a statement, they said: “Kieran, it doesn’t matter what problems you think you have, there are none that we cannot help you solve.
“Your friends and family are all worried about you, so please either come home, or at least get us a message to us that you are safe.”
Mr Smith was last seen wearing a Navy blue woollen hoodie top, navy blue T-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and white boots.
Detective Sergeant Damian Glendenning from the Eastern Investigation Team asked anyone who knows where Kieran is or has seen a man matching his description to contact police.
Call 101 or in an emergency 999.
