A MAN has been handed a community order after driving into a traffic warden when he was getting a ticket.
Oladipo Adegbesan was found guilty of two counts of assault after the incident in Fareham last year.
The 29-year-old had been visiting a dry cleaners in Westbury Road when warden Stuart Lancaster gave him a ticket for parking in a loading bay in nearby West Street.
After an argument in which Adegbesan pushed Mr Lancaster away after he tried to put the ticket on his car's windscreen, the dad of four spun his car around and reversed it at the warden.
Mr Lancaster was hit by the car and suffered minor injuries before calling 999.
Adegbesan, of Fair Acre Rise, Fareham denied the charges but was found guilty at Fareham Magistrates Court.
He was sentenced to a 12-month community order and ordered tto do 200 hours of unpaid work, pay £100 compensation to Mr Lancaster, £620 in court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
