POLICE have issued a warning to residents after thieves broke into an unsecured car.

The theft occurred on Sunday night in the Harold Road Estate, Stubbington, although police have not said what was stolen.

Fareham Neighbourhood Policing Team have now warned residents to check their vehicles before going to bed and double check they are locked and secure.

PC Sam Couchman said: “In Fareham borough we have also been having issues with insecure sheds and garages being entered overnight and items being stolen from within.

“We need to look out for each other, so please make sure you let your neighbours know of what has happened, and check each others property is secure.

“Let’s make Crofton a no-go area for criminals.”

Anyone with information should contact the force on 101.
