POLICE in Fareham are appealing for help after pensioners were targeted by a purse thief.
Three female victims were targeted at charity shops in West Street, Fareham, last Monday.
Police said the women, aged 78, 71 and 68, had their purses taken between 11am and 12.15pm. No-one has yet been arrested following the incidents.
PCSO Hollie Cartwright said: “These kind of thefts are predominantly opportunistic, whereby offenders will target those who have purses on display or bags that have been left open. Therefore we kindly remind everybody the key crime prevention advice when handling money whilst in public place.”
