POLICE are hunting burglars who struck twice in the same day in a Hampshire community.
Thieves targeted the home of a 56-year-old man in Grove Road, Elson, Gosport, where they forced a rear door and searched the property.
It is not certain yet what has been taken.
The second happened in Molesworth Road, Gosport, where burglars got in by forcing a ground floor window and door in the kitchen.
They took a cream coloured jewellery box and its contents belonging to a 65-year-old woman.
The first burglary happened between 8.30am and 7.10pm and the second between 1pm and 10pm, both on January 29.
Police are looking for anyone who saw anybody acting suspiciously, had any callers at their address or has any information that could be related to these incidents.
