A JURY in the trial of a Hampshire antique collector charged with fraud has retired to consider its verdict.

Allan Formhals is charged with a total of 15 counts of fraud for selling books with allegedly forged signatures of famous people including Sir Winston Churchill and Robert Louis Stevenson.

The 66-year-old from Keyhaven Road, Milford-on-Sea, denies all the charges.

The jury retired this lunchtime after Judge Peter Henry concluded his summing up of the case at Southampton Crown Court.
