THOUSANDS of pounds worth of power tools were taken from a home in a burglary.

Items worth about £8,000 were stolen from a shipping container in the grounds of a property in Lepe Road, Exbury, in the New Forest.

The raid took place between 5pm on March 29 and 7.30am the following day.

The Festool tools stolen included two extract machines, three Rotex sanders, two cordless jigsaws, a large Domino machine and a 10.5v cordless drill.

A power plainer, cordless plunge saw, 10v plunge saw and nails, cordless hammer drills, cordless dry wall gun and six battery charges were also taken.

PC Dawn Pritchard said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have information about the burglary or who saw something suspicious in the area that night.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who knows of someone who has been trying to sell Festool power tools in recent weeks.”
