POLICE are trying to solve the mystery of how a Hampshire teenager came to be found with a fractured skull.
The 18-year-old woman left the Compasses Inn at Damerham at about 10.30pm and was found lying on a grass verge at 5am the next day.
Her mobile phone was missing and detectives are attempting to establish if she was robbed.
Det Con Jenna Osman said: "The woman, who does not remember how she came to be injured, was subsequently treated for a fractured skull and hearing loss.
“We have been carrying out house to house enquiries in the area, but at the current time it is still not clear as to what happened.
“I’d urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us to help to clarify what happened."
The woman left the Compass Inn at 10.30pm on March 16 and was found on a grass verge in Damerham High Street by a member of the public at about 5am the next day.
