Ever wanted to help shear a sheep or attach a rosette to the winner of a livestock competition?
Children are being invited to win a perfect day out at this year’s New Forest Show by submitting a list of all things they would love to do.
The competition is in two categories – youngsters aged five to nine years old and ten to 15 years.
Names will be drawn out of a hat and the winner in each category will spend a magical day seeing their dreams come true.
They will also be given a free family ticket.
Organisers of the Daily Echo-backed show have produced a list of activities at the event to help entrants make their selection.
Possibilities include learning to fish, watching international showjumping and riding on a steam engine. Handling an array of small animals and judging the rabbit contest are among the other options.
A show spokesman said: “We’re inviting children to tell us their idea of what would constitute a dream day at the show.
“We’ve given them some ideas but they can choose whatever they like.”
Entries should be sent to the showground at New Park, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7QH, by July 1.
The show takes places on July 24-26.
