A computer company has bought a rival IT firm for an undisclosed six-figure sum.
Bosses at Hampshire Business Computers (HBC) in Romsey say more acquisitions could be in the offing after taking over Andover firm Networking Fundamentals Limited (NeFu).
They have pledged to keep all jobs and make no compulsory redundancies after the buyout, and the four staff from NeFu will now be based at the offices at Abbey Park Industrial Estate in Romsey.
The deal is expected to add an additional £500,000 turnover to HBC, whose sales could exceed £3m next year.
HBC provides IT support and solutions for organisations across southern England.
Co-director Kieron Doyle said: “HBC has an appetite to expand our on-site solutions, helpdesk, engineering and
virtual IT department services.
“Having been around since the mid 1980s, HBC has experienced the highs and lows of several economic cycles – each has its own unique challenges and opportunities.
“Personally we’re finding things very buoyant and demand is high – further acquisitions are on the agenda.”
