POLICE have released these CCTV stills in relation to a distraction theft from a pensioner.

The 73-year-old woman, who was putting her shopping bags in her car after shopping at the Waitrose store in Chandler’s Ford, was distracted just before she got in her vehicle by a woman asking for directions.

While distracted, CCTV showed how a man had opened her car door – the woman’s bank card was stolen and was used in a number of store transactions and cash withdrawals, totalling more than £1,000, following the incident at 12.30pm on Saturday, April 27.

The suspects are two women and a man and it is believed the woman who distracted the victim had an eastern European accent.

Police have put out CCTV images that show suspects, a man and two women, making some transactions at the till point at Asda, in Southampton.

Police are appealing for information from the public and are advising people to be vigilant and aware of the methods thieves can use.
