POLICE are appealing for information after a bicycle worth £2500 was stolen from a Hampshire home.
It is thought the thief entered an outhouse after removing a pane of glass and then opening a window.
Once inside a Focus racing bike was snatched.
It has a black carbon frame, white handle bars and seat and uniquely, it has a handle bar cap with an engraving with four people's names.
Police staff investigator Claire Linton said: “The stolen bike is very unique with four names engraved on the handle bar cap.
“Did you see anyone riding a black Focus racing bike, showing a white saddle and handle bars? I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
The burglary took place at some time between 11pm on Tuesday, September 9 and 6am on Wednesday, September 10 at an address on Highfield Lane, Southampton.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PSI Linton, at Shirley police station by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
