Man airlifted to Southampton hospital after plane crash
A PILOT was injured and airlifted to a Southampton hospital after a plane crash today.
Police were called when the single-seat light aircraft came down at Lake near Sandown.
The pilot was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries, but not believed to be life threatening.
The incident has been passed to the Air Accident Investigation Branch to investigate.
