A PEACE vigil will take place in Southampton city centre tomorrow to remember the victims of the Paris terror attacks.
A minute’s silence will be observed at noon at the Peace Fountain in East Park and residents and members of different faiths will light candles for the victims and for their bereaved families.
One hundred and twenty nine people were killed in the deadly attacks carried out by Islamic State in the French capital on Friday.
Several people from Hampshire were caught up in the attacks and the Daily Echo reported yesterday how Southampton residents Maria and Patrick Moore risked their lives to save a friend from the bloodbath at the Bataclan concert hall where 89 people died in an attack on a rock gig.
Landmarks across the UK have been lit up in the colours of the French Tricolor in solidarity.
The public are invited to attend the vigil.
