THIRTY firefighters tackled a blaze at a home in Southampton city centre overnight.
They were called at 2.58am to reports of a fire at a former nursery, now a house, in Roberts Road.
When they arrived they found that the fire had started in the back garden and spread to the property.
Three rooms, including the kitchen and a bedroom, were alight and five crews from Redbridge, St Mary’s and Havant stations tackled the fire, which was out by 5.30am.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
