TRIBUTES to Mac Campbell have poured in across social media.

Friends and relatives have described the 20 year old, who was killed in a car crash on Saturday night, as a "top bloke" and "hero".

Ian Thomas posted on the Romsey Rugby Club Facebook site: "This is such terrible news.

"Words cannot describe the disbelief and numbness I feel right now.

"Macca had the most infectious smile.

"He will be deeply missed and the Romsey Rugby Club family has lost a true gent and talented player."

David Sinnott added: "Totally in shock at this. Fantastic player and an amazing young man, always there for you.

"Thoughts with family and friends. Huge loss to Romsey RUFC both on and off the park. RIP Macca."

Kirsty Cromar wrote on Facebook: "Literally can't get my head around it, such sad, horrible news.

"You were and always will be one of the nicest, loving and caring people I'll ever meet.

"You've gone far too soon but you'll never be forgotten. RIP Mac Campbell."

Shannon Hammond added: "Such shockingly awful news that we have all heard about the kindest, funniest guy we all know.

"Been such a pleasure knowing you and such a tragedy you've been taken from us far too soon.

"My thoughts are with the Campbell family at this time. RIP Mac Campbell you've always been loved by all and will be extremely missed."

Jordan Stanley wrote: "To all his family, we'll treasure every memory we have of Mac.

“He was up there as one of the best people we've ever been lucky enough to have met, the sort of boy that could never have a bad word to say about anyone, ever.

“Literally nothing negative ever came from you, Mac. And we'll forever appreciate it.
