IT was the popular Southampton school that has now being turned into homes.
Oaklands School in Lordshill is now unrecognisable from its former life where it prided itself serving the educational and leisure needs of thousands of residents.
It was built in 1982, at a cost of £2.4m – twice the original estimate drawn up three years earlier.
However in 2008 the school became part of Oasis Academy Lord's Hill, and in 2013 the school was demolished, and now 103 homes are being built on the site.
Here is our look back at the school through the years.
