A DRIVER killed on the M3 over the weekend has been named by police.

He was Andrew John Greest, 54, of Pelham Road, Gosport.

Mr Greest died after the Vauxhall he was driving was in collision with a second Vauxhall on the southbound carriageway at the Winchester services around 10.13pm on Saturday, December 15.

The other driver, a 44-year-old man from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until February 28.

Police are continuing their investigation into the collision and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or either vehicle prior to it.
