DRUGS were discovered by police and fire fighters following what they initially thought was a shed fire.
Plumes of smoke were seen coming from the shed in the garden of an address in Stuart Crescent in Winchester.
Firefighters made the discovery after entering the property, finding cannabis in the burnt shed.
Two crews from Cosham and Redbridge dealt with the fire.
A police spokeswoman, said: “We attended the shed fire at 8.30pm, on March 22. On entering the shed officers discovered a small quantity of cannabis.
“A 50-year-old man is helping police with our enquiries.”
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said they received a call about the fire at 8.08pm following a fire in a shed.
They said one male was treated for smoke inhalation and the shed was 40 per cent damaged by the blaze.
