FAMILIES and children enjoyed a family fun day in Winchester.
Home-Start Winchester organised the event and some 38 children and families attended the event at Lanterns Nursery in Bereweeke Road.
They enjoyed face painting, tattoos, arts and crafts, messy play, fishing for ducks and other activities aimed at children aged up to eight-years old.
Magician Crazy M provided thrilling and noisy entertainment as the finale to the day and her magic tricks, juggling and real white rabbit brought shrieks of excitement. The youngsters were invited to meet Stu the rabbit at the end of the performance and a long line formed to have the chance to pet the bunny.
Senior co-ordinator for Home-Start, Anne Macpherson said: "it was a great day we had so many children.
"Although the weather was a bit iffy we brought the picnic inside and they had a lovely picnic in the hall.
"The children loved every minute of it."
Home-Start provides friendship and emotional and practical help to parents with at least one child under five years old.
