My dream girl is NOT Ugly Betty!

Adam with new girlfriend Sarah Adam with new girlfriend Sarah

AFTER years of searching he finally found the girl of his dreams – but not the girl in his dreams.

Former Hampshire student Adam Pacitti spent three years and £5,000 looking for a girl he saw in a dream who looked like TV character Ugly Betty.

But in 2010 he gave up his search after failing to find the woman despite visiting the United States, Canada, France, Spain and the Netherlands.

However, he found cloud nine earlier this year while filming a documentary in Texas, meeting 20-year-old Sarah from Dallas.

Adam, 23, a former student at Winchester University, said: “I was out of money and had given up on the search but then I started filming this documentary and met this girl out there who I have fallen for.

“I was not feeling great when I stopped the search and I had seen people but I always had the dream girl thing in the back of my mind.

“But Sarah has pushed that out of my mind and it’s not something I think about anymore really.”

Adam’s search began in 2008 after he woke up in the middle of the night and drew a sketch of the girl he saw.

He was then at the centre of a media frenzy and received thousands of emails from hopeful women, including a prank which took him all the way to Amsterdam.

What are you, 15?

Spot who isn't content with their life and is compensating by being derogatory to those that have found happiness.

No to be honest im just bored at work, and how dare you make such comments about me you dont even know me, just having a bit of fun mate, chillout. But on a serious note would you spend that much money on finding a girl you had a dream about?? No didnt think so, this article is just ridiculous and i felt it needed to be put in its place. So before you start slagging me off just consider everyones opinions, and this is just mine and you may reject it as much as you like but it's still my opinion. Also, just to add i am very happy and content with my life, just find mongy stories like this absolutely soppy and ridiculous. Although you might like them which is fine as that's your opinion! No need to put a downer or me for giving my OPINION!

RELAX!

You must see a little irony when you initially hand out the pejoratives but then get upset when aspertions are cast about your life?

I was about to gently ridicule this a little. Then I remembered "Katrina", the girl I dreamt about 20 years ago and thought I was destined for.

Mind you, I was 13 at the time...

I guess it's not that uncommon to have a 'dream crush', but most of us don't travel the world pursing it!

Well he got to travel the world and have fun, caused no harm to anyone in the process and got in the papers. Not bad for a lad so young so good luck to him. Wishing him and his girlfriend all the best for the future.

You are writing this nonsense in firm's time ? If I was your boss you'd be looking for another job ! And surely anyone as illiterate as you are would not be expected to use a computer as part of their daily duties. You just ramble from one idea to the next without any thought for grammar, sentence construction, or punctuation. You certainly would not have passed GCSE English with rubbish like that.

Christ people on here really cannot take a joke or being wound up. It's just hilarious the way you behave when it's all online.
I bet you would not say any of this to my face.

Oh and just to say i passed all my GCSE's with A's and above so before you criticise go and get some yourself!

Typical of your arrogant sort, you didn't have the courtesy to ask me what qualifies me to criticise you.

I am a retired teacher, I am qualified to teach English to "A" level, and I would most certainly would have told you "to your face" what a load of rubbish the above piece was. And if you had submitted it for assessment I would have made you do it again ! If you refused, you would have been in detention, and if you refused that you would have been suspended.

Education is not just a temporary hiccup before you start flaying about in life. If you have got English GCSE, why do write as though you haven't ? The vast majority of people who post here take the trouble to write decent English. Nobody's perfect, but they don't write as though they are scripting for some oaf in a soap opera.

One can only assume you adopt the same indolent attitude to manners, choosing to mouth off, spit and f*rt whenever and wherever you feel like it.

I doubt if anyone with your attitude would have the qualifications you claim to have. What are you ? Car salesman ? Shop manager ? Sell insurance or loans ? Working in Currys because no one wants yet another kid with Media Studies or Drama ?

The main clue to your deceit is that a good job would keep you interested, and you certainly wouldn't have time to waste arguing with the trolls and pensioners that haunt this forum.

Now, having said all that, I'd be the first to say that I have probably got it all wrong. I really hope so, because I absolutely agree with your comment about how hilarious it is the way people behave online.
And the general tone of your post is one of assured awareness. But I'm only guessing, Willy47. In a forum like this, you ARE what you TYPE. I've learned that the hard way.

Wow i have to say you are actually a very clever bloke and pretty much all of what you said was spot on.

I sell insurance (that made me laugh you got it right), but its only temporary and i have actually made a successful application to be an air traffic controller in the armed forces, which i can tell you is not for the un-educated (i am actually educated up to an A-level standard with great results in physics and mathematics).

To be honest i just love to see people's reactions online and it amuses me how critical people are when it is not in a face to face situation.

It was almost an experiment to see how people would judge someone based on 4 words they wrote, even though they have never even met them. Which just supprts your statement that you ARE what you TYPE.
