THERE were scenes of complete Madness at a Southampton school this week.
Oasis Academy Lords Hill performed the hit musical ‘Our House’ featuring the songs of Madness to packed audiences in the school theatre. The story follows Joe Casey through two versions of his life; one following his good side, the other the bad – all set to the background of great tunes including ‘Baggy Trousers’, ‘It Must Be Love’ and the title song.
Drama teacher Johnny Carrington praised his 19-strong cast: “This was an incredibly challenging production for a school to undertake. It incorporated not only acting, but singing, dancing, a live band and plenty of multi-media… but the students took it in their stride and were excellent.”
