COLLEGE students took a clean-up into their own hands by organising a litter pick.

Over the course of a few days students from the Itchen Student Union including some of our international students, organised a big clean-up project with the support of some city councillors.
Student Eve McKinley said it was important that the students played a part in improving the community.
She said: “Our aim is to not only make the community a better place, but to show that young people care about the local area.”
Donning high visibility vests and litter pickers a small army of student took to the recreation ground for its makeover, spending almost three hours collecting rubbish.
