A DAY of special activities was held at Norwood Primary School to mark annual Norwood Day.
Local hero Percy Norwood was awarded the Edward Medal for Gallantry by King George V after saving a man’s life on the railway lines at Liss in 1913.
This year, the children went to school dressed in Victorian and Edwardian costume.
Head teacher Rosemary Diskin said: “It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to have a rich learning experience of school life as it would have been in Percy Norwood’s day.”
The event also celebrated a significant expansion of the building by Hampshire County Council to provide additional classrooms, new reception and office space, staff accommodation and a new Discovery Centre.
