JOHN Keble School in Hursley have announced the fourth annual TreeFest event in a bid to raise money for their outdoor classrooms operation.
The family event takes place on Saturday October at John Keble School from 11am until 3pm.
The TreeFest fundraising festival will go towards building unique outside classrooms which improve self-esteem and make children happier, studies have shown.
Festival-goers are encouraged to embrace the outdoors with activities such as giant tree climbing, zip wiring and rocket launching.
However, if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground there’s pond dipping, pancake racing, and nature crafts.
The support from local business’ means there’s a selection of gift stalls, a grand raffle and a forest BBQ.
All funds raised will go towards the school’s outdoor classroom and learning zones project. These educational spaces are also available for use by local community groups.
Pre-booking is essential for tree climbing and zip-wiring, email johnkeblepta@gmail.com to reserve a space.
