A FUTURISTIC energy efficient housing development designed to give Fareham residents a glimpse into the future has been given the green light.
The six Passivhaus homes, which will cost £1m and be built at Coldeast Close, Sarisbury Green, would be the first of their kind in the town.
The construction method combines high insulation levels and air circulation to cut down on energy bills.
Fareham Borough Council has set a target of ensuring that ten per cent of houses in the 6,000-home Welborne Plan will be Passivhaus standard.
