SHE could put a man with the biggest muscles to shame.

Kathrine Bartlett trains for two hours in the gym every day to fuel her passion.

The mother-of-two has been competing in Strongest Woman competitions for the past two years.

She loves the challenge of pushing her body to the limits.

The 31-year-old, from Millbrook, has travelled to America for one of the biggest competitions in the world to represent England.

Kathrine will be facing challenges like lifting cars, dragging a small plane behind her and attempting to lift bar weights almost twice her bodyweight.

Her partner, 37-year-old electrician Paul Brett, could not be more proud, having watched her becoming stronger and happier.

He said: “She is amazing and strong as an ox. I get a lot of stick from people because they think she is stronger than me but I go to the gym regularly to make sure that doesn’t happen.

“I love watching her walk into the gym because people expect women to go on the treadmill or cross trainer but she will walk into the weights with all the big guys pumping weights, pick up the biggest one while they all watch her saying there is no way she can lift that – as soon as she does they are gobsmacked.”

After months of saving to buy a plane ticket, Kathrine, who is used to staying at home to look after her children Eilise, 12, and fiveyear- old Carson, is now going to compete at the Arnold Strongwoman World Championships.

Paul added: “She is an amazing inspiration to our children and we are all proud of what she is doing.”
