CHRIS HUHNE, Eastleigh's MP, wants his constituents to boycott a postal ballot for a referendum on the EU reform treaty.

Mr Huhne, pictured, says the "I want a referendum" campaign refused to ask people whether they would like a choice on staying in or leave the EU "I offered to fund an additional question on whether we want to stay in or leave the EU in every postal ballot sent out by the referendum campaign. They refused. They only want to ask the Conservative party question, not the Liberal Democrat one."

He claimed that two Conservative speakers were lined up for a meeting on the postal ballot before he or a representative of UKIP and the Labour party had been asked to attend.

"I am happy to debate the EU with all comers but I am not going to participate in a Tory meeting by another name" said Mr Huhne.

Two more sites in New Forest to get CCTV cameras CCTV cameras are set to be installed in two more locations in the New Forest.

Hythe and New Milton are expected to have cameras installed to keep an eye on goings on.

District council leader Mel Kendal, pictured below, said: "CCTV has played an important part in keeping our core shopping areas safe from crime and vandalism as well as reducing the fear of crime.

"I believe we need to expand this to those areas where there is sufficient justification for the installation outlay and ongoing annual charges.

"Thus we are seriously investigating New Milton and Hythe with a view to setting up the necessary procurement process."

The district council will consult parish councils, the police, the community and local businesses before any more CCTV cameras are installed.

Councillor Goff Beck, portfolio holder for crime and disorder, said: "The provision of funding is obviously a factor and it will be impossible to meet everyone's demand for CCTV.

"We must ensure that, should any money be spent, it gives communities in the New Forest the best return in terms of safety and value for money.

"It is very early days and there's a lot of work to be done over several months before any final decisions are made regarding camera locations."
