DRIVING test examiners will be taking part in the walkout, but the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) says candidates should turn up for their tests “regardless of the threat of strike action” as not all its examiners are in the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union. Theory tests will not be affected by the action.

DSA chief executive Rosemary Thew said: “Candidates who turn up but are unable to take their tests because of industrial action will not have to contact DSA to re-book. They should hear from us with a new date in five to ten working days.” If candidates fail to attend, they cannot claim outof- pocket expenses if their tests are cancelled and must re-book their tests.
