The newest addition to P&O Cruises’ Southampton based fleet, Adonia, will be named in the city on Friday, May 20, later this year. Adonia, at present sailing as Royal Princess, will enter service after the withdrawal of Artemis from the company’s fleet.
As yet it is not known who will perform the naming ceremony for the 30,277 ton, Adonia, which was built in France and began service with name, R8 in February, 2001, before being acquired by Princess Cruises in May, 2007.
