First Hampshire has revealed its bus timetable for the Christmas period in the Southampton area

First buses will have a reduced service in the days leading up to Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, with no services operating on Christmas Day while special services will run on certain routes on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

On both days a variety of First routes will run a half-hourly service.

These include Service 2 from Southampton city centre to Millbrook, Service 3 from Lordshill to Thornhill, Service 7 from Southampton city centre to Townhill Park and Service 11 from Southampton city centre to Weston.

Commercial manager for First Hampshire, Dorset & Berkshire Matthew Callow said: “We are delighted to be able to offer these additional services again over the Christmas and New Year period so that people can visit their friends and families, or go to the city centre sales.

“Service 3 goes to Southampton General Hospital and Service 7 to the Royal South Hants Hospital so both provide a vital transport link for health workers on duty.”
