A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after her car was involved in a crash with a bus.
The in-service single decker bus was in collision with her vehicle in Hursley Road, near Winchester at 5.50pm last night.
A crew from Winchester, Eastleigh and a fire engine and response support vehicle with heavy duty cutting equipment from Redbridge attended.
The female driver was trapped in the car because the roof had caved in so firefighters had to 're-shape' the roof back so she could be freed.
She was then taken to hospital with possible spinal injuries.
The bus had damage at the front but passengers on the bus sustained only bumps and bruises in the collision.
The road was closed for around an hour as rescue work continued which caused severe delays for drivers.
