A PENSIONER has died after his mobility scooter was in a crash with a car in Southampton.
As previously repoted by the Daily Echo, the mobility scooter ridden by 93-year-old Jeffery Parkes was crossing Thomas Lewis Way at Horseshoe Bridge when it was in collision with an Audi.
Mr Parkes fell from the scooter and sustained a serious head and neck injury and was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital.
Hampshire Constabulary have today revealed he died in hospital on Monday.
The accident happened around 10.10am on Wednesday, September 23.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Eastleigh on 101.
