A PENSIONER who died in a car crash on a busy road last week has been named.

June Stallard died from her injuries after her vehicle was involved in a collision with a car on the B3049 between Stockbridge and Winchester.

The 69-year old from Abbots Anne, Andover, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her daughters, Michelle and Lorraine have now released the following tribute: “Our mum will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. A kind, caring, big-hearted lady, who's smile could brighten the darkest of rooms.

“Our family would like to thank all of the emergency teams who attended on that day, for all their efforts.”

A blue coloured Suzuki Wagon R travelling towards Stockbridge was in collision with a silver VW Golf travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Golf, a man in his 40s, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.

Michelle and Lorraine passed on their best wishes.

They said: “Our thoughts also go out to the driver of the other car involved and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.”

A file is being prepared and will be passed to HM Coroner.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward following the crash which happened on Wednesday October 14 at about 11.20am.
