FALLEN trees blocking three Hampshire railway lines have been causing chaos for commuters today.
A tree blocking the line at Fareham according to South West Trains led to delays across the region.
A tweet by South West Trains, said: “#Fareham: A fallen tree is blocking the line at Fareham, traincrew are investigating at present. Delays likely, more soon.”
Taxi drivers have been enrolled to help transport passengers with no buses available at the moment.
A spokesman for South West Trains said: "All trains are now on the move but will be going through Fareham with caution until the tree is secured or removed."
A tree is also blocking a line in North Hampshire and causing delays between Alton and Aldershot.
Meanwhile, services between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier are now disrupted due to a tree falling on the line between the two stations.
Crews South West Trains and Network Rail Alliance are working to clear the debris but it is the third occasion today which has seen passengers’ travel plans disrupted.
Both of those have now been cleared
