TWO people were trapped after a two-vehicle crash on a main route in Southampton.

Emergency services were at the roundabout at the junction of Tebourba Way and the Millbrook Roundabout after the collision at about 10.04am.

One car crashed into a sign on the roundabout.

Fire crews freed people from the car before they were treated by paramedics.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said engines from St Mary's and Eastleigh were called to the scene and as well as the two people trapped, two other people have required treatment by paramedics.

Part of Tebourba Way and the roundabout was blocked as a result of the crash.

Fire crews said they cut two people out of a car as a precaution and they are now being taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service confirmed that no one had suffered serious injuries.

They said: “We were called to a two car road traffic collision to assess and treat four patients in total at 9.58am.

“No one was seriously injured. We sent three ambulances and three of the four patients were treated for minor injuries and have been taken to Southampton General Hospital while one was treated and discharged at the scene.”
