ROADS in Southampton will be gritted this evening as temperatures are set to plunge overnight.
A high of 6C has been forecast today but the Met Office says conditions will worsen overnight and reach 1C at about 8am tomorrow morning in the city, with a 'feels like' temperature of -1C.
Meanwhile in Winchester it will drop to 0C and a 'feels like' of -2C.

A Met Office forecast for Wednesday says: "Starting with a widespread frost, but also sunshine for most places.
"Through the day cloudier conditions are likely to arrive, but most places remain dry, although everywhere will be cold.
"Maximum Temperature 3C."
