THE DRIVER killed in an accident on a major Hampshire road has been named by police.

Ross Lipsett, 53, died when the BMW he was driving was in collision with a lorry on the A31 near Ringwood.

At 2.30am Tuesday, Mr Lipsett's car was in collision with a lorry parked in a layby on the westbound carriageway at Poulner Hill.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Ryedale, or the Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
