Just like to add Strop, the guys on SKY MATCH CHOICE( where they show 80% of the game), stated that we were the only team so far this year that have played STOKE at their own game. It was a master stroke by NIGEL ATKINS.
One being an x pro footballer and the other doing the job he is paid for.

How many times have we seen a team go down to ten men and then play as if they had twelve on the pitch ??.

saintlysoul would disagree with him self if he was the only one in the room. I know this site is for debate but he is mister negative . If we won a game 10-0 still would not be good enough, and as for ROB of N Z. He lives in England now.

We were very unlucky not to come away with all three points and after watching the game on t v , would'nt change the team just strenghten it here and there. WE WILL STAY UP WITH NIGEL AS MANAGER ..
    good post bob
in the cold light of day an away point is a good point which is all we could of hoped for before hand.
looking forward to new years day COUR!"

Nigel Adkins hailed Saints’ draw at Stoke as “a fantastic point.”

The boss was delighted with a 3-3 draw at the Britannia Stadium despite seeing his side lose a 3-1 lead against ten men.

He said: “It’s a fantastic point away from home.

“You look at Stoke and the Britannia Stadium and they had only conceded three goals at home this season and we’ve scored three and could have scored more.

“It’s always a difficult place to come to, our supporters were great and first half it was only us you could hear because our game management was spot on.

“We came away from home and changed a few of the players around because we knew we’d have to deal with an aerial bombardment that would probably come and the players have been top drawer. We scored some really good goals.”
