Guly out, Lallana in?
5:14pm Monday 28th January 2013 in Sport
GULY DO PRADO
Guly Do Prado may miss the next few games with a knee injury - but Adam Lallana could return against Manchester United.
Do Prado was replaced after an hour of the goalless draw against Everton and is expected to miss the trip to Old Trafford, but Lallana could return for Mauricio Pochettino's second game in charge, having been out for the last seven weeks with medial ligament damage.

We will miss Guly at old trafford.i think he performs better away from home than at ST MARYS where he is often unfaily barracked.

I would love to see us give Utd a beating like the good old days.
Wigan needs to be at least a 2-0, just because they owe us!
2 Goals from Lambert against Utd would be wonderful!

You clearly havent been to many matches this season. Guly has been a different player this season, full of running, working hard and has linked up with Luke Shaw really well.
In actual fact a fit Guly would have me question whether Lallana would get back in the team - just look at the results since AL has been injured.
Don't get me wrong, a huge supporter of AL but he has competition for places and doesnt have the right to be selected straight back into the team.

Instead he will loose possession or better still set the other team up. Oh let's not also forget that cracking own goal he scored too!

how many goals has he scored? how many assists has he got compared to Lallana?
our centre mids don't really score goals therefore we need goals from the wings and he doesn't contribute. I appreciate he may run around a bit and he did deliver a good cross against stoke but he also missed a sitter in that game that would have won us the match.
Lallana is club captain and the most talented in terms of skill i've seen at the club for a while.
you are mad.

I dont deny Lallana is a more talented player, my point is merely about how the "team" has performed since his injury and some of that has to be down to how Guly and Shaw have linked up and without Lallana drifting in field. We are still scoring goals, but better than that our defensive record of late has been far far better as the team shape has been better.
there is no "i" in team my friend!

I am not sure Lallana should not walk back in, as he is after all captain, and very good to boot. This is different to Hammond who was Captain but not quite as good.
Defensively we have looked more solid with Guly in the side, and he has come up with an assist or two. He has actually played well more often than not.
