Saints defender plays 90 minutes in Japan victory

SAINTS defender Maya Yoshida played the whole 90 minutes as Japan beat Latvia 3-0 in a friendly in Kobe this afternoon.
Stuttgart striker Shinji Okazaki scored twice and Keisuke Honda also netted.
It was a good win for Yoshida and his country, who next month face a World Cup qualifier in Jordan. A victory would see them clinch a fifth straight World Cup appearance in Brazil next year.

They lost 2-0 to Ukraine but the goals came in the first half so a clean sheet for our Saint!
He also had a shot but straight at the keeper.
Looked solid and composed.
