The Powerade Fives national football tournament is coming to Southampton next month, offering players the chance to win a training session with a top professional.
The five-a-side competition is being held in association with Goals Soccer Centres, with the city’s Millbrook Point Road venue hosting the Southampton heat on Sunday, June 9, from 2pm.
The winning teams from each qualifier will advance to a regional final, with 16 sides then going on to the national final in July.
Whoever wins the tournament will get the chance to train with a Football League player of their choice.
Sam Floyd, the general manager for the Goals centre in Southampton, said: “This is a chance for five-a-side football players all over the country to prove they are the best and for the winners it’s a great chance for them to experience what it is like to train like a pro with their favourite Football League player.
“We look forward to seeing as many teams as possible at the Southampton centre for the heat.”
You can register for the tournament by contacting Goals Southampton on 023 8051 0666 or by visiting goalsfootball.co.uk. Entry costs £25 per team and every player who enters the Powerade Fives 2013 tournament will receive a free personalised Powerade Sports Bottle.
