West Ham have confirmed the signing of striker Mladen Petric as manager Sam Allardyce looks to bolster his attacking options.
The 32-year-old Croatia international has joined the Upton Park club until the end of the season following his departure from Premier League rivals Fulham at the end of the last campaign.
He could now make his Hammers debut against Saints at St Mary's this coming Sunday.
Allardyce had only Modibo Maiga and Ricardo Vaz Te fit at the moment after Andy Carroll suffered a setback in his return from a heel injury which has prevented him from making an appearance for the Hammers since completing a permanent transfer from Liverpool.
