Arsenal and England forward Theo Walcott has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his left knee and will be out for six months, missing the rest of the season and the World Cup, the club have confirmed on their website.

The former Saints star suffered the injury during Arsenal's 2-0 win against Spurs yesterday.

As a match day steward,I think it was totally stupid thing to do,as it put those who were looking after and carrying him off under a hail of missiles which could have caused serious injury to one of them. He should be taken to task by the fa over it, but being at a big club will help his case..

The FA are taking no action, had it been a Saint they would have torn us a big one. Sad for Theo though, but, subject to further prejudice it should make a better case for Adam to go to Brazil.
