Thanks for joining us today. We will have a full report and reaction for you on the website soon. We will be back again on Tuesday with our next blog, as Arsenal visit St Mary's for a Premier League encounter.

Daily Echo:

SAINTS 2 YEOVIL 0

4:48pm

CHANCE (89 mins): Sam Gallagher receives a pass from Steven Davis in the area, produces a Cruyff-like turn to beat Joe Edwards, but has his subsequent shot smothered by Marek Stech.

4:47pm

CHANCE (88 mins): Harrison Reed, on for James Ward-Prowse moments earlier, swings in a cross from the right as Saints break away. Steven Davis meets it six yards out with a side-footed volley, but Maarek Stech produces a glorious save to somehow deny him.

Luke Shaw looks for an opportunity to dispossess Joel Grant.

4:30pm

SAINTS 2 YEOVIL 0 (Sam Gallagher 70)

The teenager bags his first ever Saints goal, beating a Yeovil player down the right before planting a shot past Marek Stech from a very tight angle. A wonderful moment for the youngster, who is mobbed by his teammates after his strike.

4:23pm

Nathaniel Clyne booked for a mistimed tackle on John Lundstrom.

4:20pm

CHANCE (61 mins): Sam Gallagher cuts in from the left and fires in a stinging right-foot shot, which Marek Stech does well to parry away.

4:19pm

3:48pm

SAINTS 1 YEOVIL 0

3:48pm

CHANCE (45 mins): Yeovil launch an absolutely blistering counter attack, which ends with Joe Ralls picking out Ishmael Miller in space at the far post. It would have been a brilliant goal, but he hits his first-time shot over the bar.

3:43pm

CHANCE (40 mins): A glorious through ball from Jack Cork picks out Adam Lallana's run through the middle. He's well challenged, but the ball spins to Jay Rodriguez on the edge of the area. He gets a bit of power behind his shot, but Marek Stech makes the save.

3:41pm

CHANCE (38 mins): Yeovil go so close to an equaliser. Joe Ralls gets the ball in space, on the left side of the area, and rolls over a low cross that James Hayter slides in to meet six yards out. He hits the ball straight at Kelvin Davis, though, who makes the save. A yard either side and it's probably 1-1.

3:38pm

Guly do Prado's penalty which led to a goal for Saints.

Daily Echo:

Daily Echo:

3:38pm

CHANCE (35 mins): Adam Lallana twists and turns in trademark fashion down the left, before digging out a cross that ends up going over the head of Yeovil keeper Marek Stech and hitting the top of the bar.

3:33pm

Adam Lallana skips the tackle from Yeovil Town's Joe Edwards.

Daily Echo:

3:27pm

SAINTS 1 YEOVIL 0 (Guly do Prado 23 pen)

A big cheer from the Saints fans as Guly steps up to take the penalty. You wouldn't guess he hadn't scored in more than two years, as he coolly sends Marek Stech the wrong way. Guly's last goal - January 14, 2012, at Nottingham Forest.

3:26pm

James Ward-Prowse sends in a corner towards the back post, with Shane Duffy judged to have handled. Phil Dowd points to the spot and Saints have a penalty...

3:22pm

CHANCE (18 mins): A nice move from Saints culminates in Nathaniel Clyne swinging a cross over. Jay Rodriguez meets it at the back post, but his header thumps against the cross bar.

3:20pm

CHANCE (17 mins): Morgan Schneiderlin pounces on a loose ball just putside the box and squares to Jay Rodriguez in space. His first-time shot is heading towards the far corner, but Yeovil keeper Marek Stech gets down to save.

3:16pm

CHANCE (13 mins): Jack Cork, still searching for his first ever Saints goal, takes aim from just outside the area, but curls a left-foot shot well wide of the far post.

3:15pm

CHANCE (12 mins): The first opportunity, if you can call it that, of the game falls to Yeovil. Joel Grant sends in a corner, which is met by the head of Shane Duffy. But, from a long way out, his effort loops harmlessly into the arms of Kelvin Davis.

Daily Echo: Dani Osvaldo has been suspended for two weeks

Dani Osvaldo hit the headlines this week for the wrong reasons, being suspended by the club for two weeks following an alleged headbutt on teammate Jose Fonte. Have your say below on what Saints should do with him now...

2:12pm

Six changes for Saints today, as Artur Boruc, Calum Chambers, Dejan Lovren, Jose Fonte, Steven Davis and Rickie Lambert drop out of the line-up. Kelvin Davis, Nathaniel Clyne, Maya Yoshida, Jos Hooiveld, James Ward-Prowse and Guly do Prado replace them. Boruc misses with a slight back problem, picked up against Sunderland, but should be fine for Arsenal. Lambert has a minor hamstring issue, according to the club.

2:06pm

THE LINE-UPS

SAINTS: K Davis; Clyne, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Shaw; Cork, Schneiderlin; Ward-Prowse, Lallana, Guly; Rodriguez.

Subs: Gazzaniga, Fonte, S Davis, Chambers, Isgrove, Reed, Gallagher.

YEOVIL: Stech; Ayling, Webster, Duffy, McAllister; Grant, Lundstram, Edwards, Ralls; Miller, Hayter.

Subs: Dunn, Dawson, Upson, Foley, Moore, Ofori-Twumasi, Morgan.

Referee: Phil Dowd.

1:59pm

Daily Echo: Mauricio Pochettino

There has been plenty of talk about Mauricio Pochettino's future as Saints manager over the past ten days, but the Argentine has once again stated his commitment to the club. Writing in today's programme, he says...

I must also highlight that the structural changes behind the scenes here have not affected my position at the club. I spoke with Katharina Liebherr on the day after Nicola Cortese's departure and we were reassured that we have her full support towards our role with the team. I remain committed to being manager of Southampton Football Club. It is a great responsibility, and one that I enjoy.

Mauricio Pochettino

1:52pm

Hello and welcome to this Daily Echo blog covering this afternoon's FA Cup fourth round clash between Saints and Yeovil. Well, it's been, erm, another quiet few days at St Mary's... But, after Dani Osvaldo's suspension for an alleged headbutt on Jose Fonte, plus all the ongoings at the top of the club, football can at least take centre stage for 90 minutes this afternoon - we hope, anyway. Plenty to get through today, so stick with us for build-up, team news and match updates.

That is not real a weak side given injuries and suspensions is it? Although not much fire power on the bench if we need to chase the game.

I really wish they would play Matt Targett, it's time to put pressure on Shaw just like Chambers has done to Clyne, competition strengthens the position so much.

Interesting that our owner is now at the game. If she were selling, I doubt she would waste her time. Did NC keep her away? Was she not interested before? Is she only there to support our new chairman or to let fans know she is supportive? We may never know. Being there could be a positive sign.

Davis is the reserve keeper, two of the four defenders are reserve players, Ward-Prowse mostly gets used as a substitute, Do Prado is a reserve striker and Isgrove, Reed and Gallagher are on the bench, as well as Gazzaniga. It's not exactly the first team either, is it? Somewhere in between the two I think.

Interesting that our owner is now at the game. If she were selling, I doubt she would waste her time. Did NC keep her away? Was she not interested before? Is she only there to support our new chairman or to let fans know she is supportive? We may never know. Being there could be a positive sign.
I guess Nicola said she had to pay for a ticket :-D
And parking!
He wasn't known for his freebies was he? I think he even paid his own ticket!
Didn't I read somewhere that NC spent lavishly with company money?
Yes, a poster on here used to claim shenanigans to do with home maintenance until I pointed out that I did work for NC and was always paid either cash or with a cheque from their personal bank account.

where are all those poster who had such strong feelings about Dani over the last few says?
why do they complain that there`s a clique of regular posters on here, who wont let anyone else have an opinion, but then only ever turn up when we get negative stories?
its not just today either. look at most games, especially if we`ve won, and the threads are full of regular posters, even thin ice and blue deadinthe head are more regular than some of the bandwagon jumpers that turn up for bad stories.
